Cannington Early Learning Centre

Cannington Early Learning Centre - Ausplay Playscapes

Located in Cannington, Western Australia, Cannington Early Learning Centre focuses on the importance of learning through play.

Ausplay was proud to be able to design and construct the outdoor playscape for the centre, which centres around the exciting custom timber play structure in the middle of the playscape.  The fort features various levels for climbing and role playing, as well as a slide and climbing net.  The biggest feature of this fort is the way it is set into a mounded synthetic turf area, that allows for the bike track to wind underneath, which is fast becoming a favourite with the children as they experience multi level play.

The playscape also includes a mud kitchen with hand pump, a digging patch and sand pit for hand on play as well as additional sensory and exploratory activities such as gardening, blackboards and stepping stones throughout.

The active space promotes development of motor skills and upper body strength through the use of balance ropes and planks that allow older children to refine their skills.

Springfield Lakes Early Learning Centre

Springfield Lakes Early Learning Centre

A childs imagination is captured from the moment they see Springfield Lakes Early Centre, when they catch a glimpse of the bow of a pirate ship and its eagles nest sitting proudly above

The experience of the Ausplay team saw an exciting and varied playscape develop within what began as a challenging site. The long and narrow playscape required out of the box thinking and custom elements to maximise space and create a variety of experiences.

The Pirate ship, complete with bell and barrels, was developed to encourage imaginative play while providing levels changes and activities.

The playscape also includes an integrated Waterplay Splash Pad, climbing fort with tube slide and sandpit with a Kuranda Station along the surrounding bike track, all set amongst natural elements.

Another feature of the Playscape is the active play area with long climbing wall and balance activities which assists in developing upper body strength and motor skills – vital skills for growing children.

Bundama State School

Bundama State School - Playscape in Brisbane

Located in the high growth area of East Ipswich, just west of Brisbane, Bundamba State School commissioned Ausplay Playscapes to install a combination of Rubber Surfacing and Synthetic Turf into an existing large, covered multi-purpose area within the school.

The area was full of potential, but was a large expanse of old concrete, which was not conducive to a learning and play environment.

Ausplay was able to install Rubber surfacing to the area to provide a visually appealing, durable and low impact surface for children to play that also integrated a basketball key, handball courts and games.

By also introducing Synthetic Turf to the area, the space was visually softened and provided yet another texture and play experience for children to sit and play, while being low maintenance for the school.

New School Playscape Design – Miles State School

February 14, 2016 by ausplay

New School Playscape Design – Miles State School

New School Playscape Design  – Miles State School commissioned Ausplay Playscapes to develop a concept for a new Recreation Performance area that would also become a central active play zone.

Ausplay Playscapes worked closely with the school to develop a design that met the needs of the school for a performance space, while also allowing flexibility for play and educational purposes.

A performance stage becomes a focal point for the space, with a large open synthetic turf area that allows for audience seating during performances as well as informal active play at other times.

The central multi-use play space uses rubber surfacing to create games and educational tools throughout, with a collection of unique shade or trellis arbours designed by Ausplay Playscapes.

A nature based play area surrounds the multi-use play space, using a creekbed to assist in drainage while also being an area of exploration and discovery.
