Natural Playscapes

Ausplay Playscapes successfully designed and constructed age appropriate, outdoor learning environments for Eastside Early Learning Centre, just East of Brisbane.  The playscape aims to provide a variety of experiences that challenge children, develop motor skills and encourage imaginative play.

The focus on natural ‘open ended’ play through the use of Mud Kitchens, Sand Pits and Water Play provides sensory experiences and promotes creativity.

Ausplay Playscapes built elements such as the Climbing Fort, Grass hut, tepee, garden world, bridges and creekbed with pump all provide exciting stimulus for imaginative play and encourage social interaction.

Healthy active play is encouraged through the Water splash pad, balancing beams, bike tracks and swings that are set amongst lush, planted gardens.

Ausplay Playscapes was excited to be part of the Pimpama Early Learning Centre, just south of Brisbane.

Completed in 2014, Pimpama Early Learning Centre has a focus on outdoor play and engagement with the natural environment.

Surrounded by a variety of nature play elements, such as exploration tracks, creekbeds, sandpits and bridges, the highlight of the playscape is the large custom, working windmill that stands tall on a mounded landscape and built into the custom play fort with slope slide.

Landform plays a major part of the play experience, with large mounds of turf, rubber and planting creating climbing, sliding and stepping opportunities to encourage development of motor skills.

The playscape also includes a Water Splash Pad, Barnyard and winding bike track to create both active and educational experiences.
